This position is for a Senior Accountant and is based in Vancouver, BC The Senior Accountant holds a CPA designation (or equivalent) and has at least 3 years of experience in a large and complex organization. The role focuses on enhancing the transparency and quality of the Real Estate Management Service (REMS) financial reporting, enabling senior management and internal clients to make informed business decisions.
Perform required corporate accounting functions including: monthly revenue and expense accruals, preparation and input of journal entries, P&L; review, AR review, Account Reconciliations, preparation of supporting working papers, etc. review and post billing batches done by the Divisional Accountant. Use accounting knowledge to ensure financial statements are presented accurately and are up to date; ensure data integrity by investigating monthly variances to forecast. Support the Assistant Controller and Regional Leaders with ad-hoc analysis.
Support the Financial Analysts team with Forecast input and variance analysis. CPA designation or equivalent required Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Self-motivated,
able to work independently and maintain focus with proactive planning Demonstrates ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities while remaining calm and composed Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
