Senior Accountant

Location: Hybrid (remote 4 days per week, in office about 1 day per week)

Reports to: Manager of Finance and Accounting

Position Overview

This role will drive financial reporting and accounting systems design and implementation to support future acquisitions as the organization rapidly expands its product and service offerings.

The Senior

Accountant will partner with senior leaders to deliver financial and accounting analysis, extract business insights that guide strategy, and identify opportunities for innovation. This person will also help select and implement AI tools that streamline accounting processes, maximize financial operations capacity, and support both organic and M&A; growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Close

- Complete a 5-day month-end close with variance analyses and clear calls to action
- Prepare weekly performance metrics
- Manage accruals and adjustments accurately and on time
- Reconcile GL accounts, bank statements, and financial data
- Ensure compliance with all accounting regulations, taxes, and standards

QuickBooks and Systems

- Lead the transition from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online without disrupting financial operations
- Use QuickBooks Online automated features to streamline bookkeeping
- Streamline automated accounts receivable and payable processes in QuickBooks
- Integrate AI based tools to accelerate analytic review
- Implement new software tools to simplify processes and maximize efficiency

Payroll and Benefits

- Oversee and manage the complete payroll and benefits administration system
- Administer bi-weekly payroll
- Record payroll entries in QuickBooks using file feeds from PTA software
- Validate payroll data, correct discrepancies,



and ensure 100% tax compliance

Tax and Compliance

- Administer sales taxes, including budget tracking, reporting, and timely invoicing
- Partner with leadership to design and implement changes that strengthen financial controls and tax compliance
- Build streamlined, cross-functional processes that enhance financial controls

Business Partnership and Improvement

- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior leaders to support strategy and growth
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance profitability and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with employees, clients, and vendors

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- At least 4 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with automated bookkeeping tools
- Proven experience with accurate, efficient, and compliant vendor and customer onboarding and maintenance
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting data to support decisions

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a rapidly growing manufacturing setting
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
