Working within busy School environments, perform a variety of assigned Facility Maintenance tasks including scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled demand maintenance events. Respond to and rectify assigned tasks in general facility services, equipment repair, HVAC (Heating Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry and more. Source, plan, and organize required tools and materials for day-to-day tasks and projects Be able to maintain inventory levels for assigned site(s) Use building prints, schematics, and other available documents while troubleshooting system failures and work requests.
Solid understanding of building systems with an ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machines. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and aligns with all company policies. Completion of a two-year technical degree or equivalent and/or experience in a Facility Maintenance environment would be considered an asset but willing to train the right candidate.
Building systems knowledge including troubleshooting, repair and replacement, etc. Daily reporting of site conditions is required. Working and operating knowledge of computers as well as Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, word, excel) Solid customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and clean criminal record.
Experience with painting (interior and exterior), equipment repair and maintenance, plumbing, and electrical work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. After the training period, this role will participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend coverage.
This is a bargaining unit position Pay Rate: $31.02 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
