1-800-GOT-JUNK? is seeking an experienced Senior People Business Partner to serve as a trusted strategic advisor to business leaders and a senior leader within the Talent Management team. This role is accountable for shaping people strategy, managing risk, and ensuring the organization is prepared for growth through disciplined, compliant, and forward-looking people practices. Leaders rely on you for clear guidance on complex people matters, and People Business Partners look to you for mentorship and sound judgment.

Think several steps ahead and proactively identify risk and opportunity Provide balanced, well-reasoned recommendations grounded in business context and legislation Elevate the capability of others through coaching and mentorship Anticipate people-related risks and opportunities and provide proactive, data-informed guidance aligned to business objectives Translate business strategy into scalable people solutions and priorities Senior Advisory, Risk & Employee Relations Lead and oversee complex employee relations matters, including performance management, investigations, accommodations, and exits Advise leaders on high-impact people decisions, balancing employee experience, business needs, and legal risk Serve as a senior escalation point for sensitive or high-risk people matters Monitor and interpret changes in employment legislation and emerging People-related regulatory requirements Proactively advise leaders and People Business Partners on the implications of legislative changes Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and Operations to ensure policies, practices, and programs remain compliant and aligned Lead updates to policies, processes, and leader guidance to reflect legislative and regulatory changes Provide mentorship, coaching, and day-to-day guidance to People Business Partners, supporting capability development and consistency of practice Set standards for high-quality business partnering, decision-making,



and documentation Support onboarding and development of People team members as needed Talent, Performance & Organizational Effectiveness Performance management cycles Individual development planning ~ Lead or play a senior role in People initiatives such as: Policy development and modernization Trusted, strategic partnership with senior leaders Proactive identification and mitigation of people and compliance risk Consistent, high-quality people decision-making across the organization Development and elevation of People Business Partner capability Alignment between business strategy, people strategy, and legislative requirements Explore and apply AI-enabled HR solutions that improve decision-making, leader capability, employee experience or People & Culture effectiveness. 7+ years of progressive People / HR experience, including senior-level business partnering ~ Demonstrated experience mentoring or leading other HR / People professionals ~ Ability to synthesize legislation, risk, and business context into practical guidance Team members in our Vancouver, Toronto, and Kansas City Junktion Hubs follow a hybrid work model that balances flexibility with in-person collaboration.
