Senior Data Analyst
Location: Toronto, Canada

Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with robust analytical and data visualization skills to support business decision-making through meaningful insights derived from complex datasets. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Excel, Power BI, and/or Tableau, along with the ability to analyze data, identify trends and patterns, and communicate actionable insights to business and technical stakeholders.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, improve data quality and processes, and support strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze data from multiple sources, including databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar visualization tools.
- Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into meaningful analytical solutions.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Conduct root cause analysis and present findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Monitor the effectiveness and performance of existing data processes and recommend improvements.
- Maintain high standards of data integrity, accuracy, consistency, and quality across systems and reporting environments.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.
- Apply statistical techniques and data modeling concepts to support business analysis and decision-making.
- Create clear and concise reports and visualizations that communicate complex information effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
- Identify data quality issues and work with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong experience with at least one enterprise data visualization/BI platform, preferably Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong understanding of statistical techniques and data modeling concepts.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present complex data and analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
