Vancouver is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer , reporting to the Manager of Defence & Government Services working out of the Richmond, BC office. The ideal senior DevOps engineer is a cloud‑native platform expert with deep Azure Functions, CI/CD, IaC, and observability skills, plus strong leadership and cross‑team collaboration abilities The DevOps Engineer will be supporting the Defence & Government Services portfolio and will primarily work in collaboration and under the functional direction of our Solutions Architect. The role will exercise systems and data expertise, with a particular emphasis on on‑prem infrastructure and application design, deployment and support for CI/CD.The dynamic and rapidly advancing technologies in the world of deployment require engineers that proactively stay up to date with new technologies and are always refining their craft.

The Senior

DevOps Engineer will work closely with a team to ensure high availability and redundancy of all systems. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and operational experience. CI/CD Automation – Expert in building and optimizing pipelines in Git Lab CI, with end‑to‑end automation for build, test, deploy, and rollback.

Observability & Reliability – Implements monitoring, logging, alerting,



and performance tuning; supports incident response and root cause analysis. Security & Governance – Integrates security controls into pipelines, enforces Azure Policy, RBAC, and secrets management. Mentorship & Technical Guidance – Leads technical direction, mentors junior/mid‑level engineers, and shares best practices.

Problem‑solving – Resolves complex infrastructure, deployment, and reliability issues across distributed systems. Acts as a bridge between technical teams and executives, translating complex tech into business outcomes. Leads a multidisciplined range of technical systems and application activities.

Leads activities to install, configure and maintain multiplatform systems hardware, software and components. Leads activities to plan, develop, design, integrate and maintain all computer applications. Plans and coordinates highly complex software and hardware for enterprise release.

Ensures systems conform with architectural objectives. Participate in incident response and post‑mortem analysis to continuously improve system reliability and performance. Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures. 10+ years of experience in DevOps,



cloud engineering, or platform engineering, including 3+ years working with Microsoft Azure or another cloud platform. ~ Ability to work independently while providing both hands‑on technical support and strategic guidance. ~Minimum 5 years of software development experience. ~ Minimum 2 years of experience in Linux and network administration. ~ Experience with development, deployment, and version control tools such as Eclipse, Git, Jira, and VersionOne. ~ Experience working as part of an Agile delivery team. ~ Experience with on‑premises deployments and the associated operational challenges. ~ Must be eligible for authorization under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program. ~ Must not pose a risk to the safeguarding of controlled goods. ~ Must be eligible for Canadian Secret Level II security clearance. ~ S. export‑controlled data.
