Position Title: Senior Finance Consultant

Duration: 1 Year (Possibility of Extension)

Working hours: 9 am to 5 pm

Working Location: Remote

Pay Rate: 44/hr onwards

Role Mandate:

- Highly experienced and collaborative Senior Finance Consultant to join our Business Management team supporting a portfolio of Technology teams.
- This role will be responsible for providing financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and business management support across a complex technology portfolio.
- The successful candidate will act as a trusted business management partner to Technology leaders and teams, working closely with Finance, Senior Technology Managers, Lead Technology Managers, Supplier Management, Sourcing, and other enterprise partners.
- The role will provide financial and business management guidance to portfolio teams while helping ensure effective management of budgets, forecasts, contracts, requisitions, purchase orders, and other financial and operational activities.
- Giving the selected candidate the chance to foster stakeholder relationships and collaboration across the client’s ecosystem, providing exposure to key technology platforms and initiatives.

Team Structure:

- The selected candidate will be working in a collaborative environment within a small group of 6, who are all responsible for managing different portfolios for IT projects across the bank.

Role Responsibilities: Financial Management & Planning

- Lead financial management activities for an assigned Technology portfolio, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and ongoing financial tracking
- Partner with Technology leaders to develop annual budgets, forecasts, financial plans, and meet financial objectives
- Monitor actuals against forecast, identify trends and variances, and provide insights and recommendations to portfolio leadership




- Support financial planning activities throughout the fiscal year, including reforecasts, funding requirements, and financial adjustments
- Provide financial guidance and challenge to ensure portfolio decisions are aligned with financial objectives and governance requirements
- Prepare and present financial analysis, reporting, and executive-level summaries as required

Business Management & Portfolio Support

- Act as a Business Management partner and trusted advisor to assigned Technology portfolio teams
- Provide guidance to portfolio teams on financial management, funding, approvals, procurement, vendor management, and other business management activities
- Work closely with Technology leaders and stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into actionable financial and operational plans
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting, and overall financial management practices within the portfolio
- Support leadership with ad hoc analysis, business cases, presentations, and decision-support materials

Contract & Vendor Management Support

- Partner with STO and LTO teams to support contract renewals and ongoing vendor financial management
- Review contract renewal requirements, financial impacts, pricing, and funding needs to support informed business decisions
- Assist portfolio teams with developing financial business cases and approval submissions for contract renewals and other expenditures
- Work collaboratively with Supplier Management, Sourcing, Finance,



and Technology stakeholders throughout the contract renewal process
- Monitor contract-related financial commitments and ensure appropriate funding is identified and available

Procurement & Financial Operations

- Support portfolio teams with requisitions and Purchase Order (PO) requests, ensuring appropriate financial information, approvals, and funding are in place
- Provide guidance on financial processes and requirements related to requisitions, POs, invoices, funding transfers, and other financial transactions
- Partner with Finance and Procurement stakeholders to resolve financial or operational issues and facilitate timely completion of requests
- Help ensure financial activities are completed in accordance with established policies, controls, and governance requirements

Stakeholder Management

- Build robust working relationships with Technology leaders, STO and LTO teams, Finance, Supplier Management, Sourcing, Procurement, and other enterprise partners
- Serve as a key point of contact for financial and business management matters within the assigned portfolio
- Facilitate discussions across multiple stakeholder groups to resolve issues, align on financial requirements, and drive activities to completion
- Communicate complex financial information clearly to both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders

Must Have Skills:

- 3-7 years of relevant experience
- Finance Consulting/similar roles duties (“full cycle”: budgeting consulting, forecasting consulting, variance analysis, scenario modelling and presentations)
- Experience with developing and presenting data to high-level stakeholders
- Experience with MS Office tools, especially Power BI (Dashboard literacy), PowerPoint, etc.

Nice to Have Skills:

- IT Industry experience
- Finance or relevant business education
