Our dam practitioners work collaboratively to deliver creative and sustainable solutions to our clients and communities on unique dam, reservoir, and hydropower projects Nationally and Globally. As a senior geotechnical engineer, you will have the opportunity to: Support the design, analysis, and construction of dams, reservoirs, dykes, spillways, and hydropower projects across Canada.
Conduct Dam Safety
Reviews and inspections in accordance with Canadian Dam Association Guidelines, with opportunities for short-duration travel within Canada. Manage and coordinate geotechnical-focused and multidisciplinary project teams, commensurate with your experience and capabilities. Mentor and be mentored by colleagues across a breadth of experience fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Drive innovation by leading or contributing to digitization initiatives, advanced numerical modeling, market research, and the development of emerging technologies, with a focus on climate change adaptation, risk and liability reduction, and aging dams. Proven ability to manage projects independently. Passion for making a positive impact through engineering.
Effective communication skills, including report writing and client engagement. Commitment to technical excellence and mentorship. Bachelor’s degree in Geological, Civil, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s or PhD an asset).
~Experience in dam engineering, dam safety, geotechnical design, and/or dam construction. ~ General knowledge of geotechnical software solutions (GeoStudio™, LeapFrog, Rocscience). ~ Demonstrated ability to work and manage projects independently.
