About us: At Spin , recruitment is about more than filling roles; it’s about creating real human connections . We partner with leading U.S. companies to help them hire exceptional talent through a true direct-hire process, ensuring candidates join our clients’ teams directly while we support them throughout the journey.
About our partner: You'll join an AI-powered marketing technology company that operates as a holding company for a growing portfolio of brands — built on more than 16 years of AI R&D;, backed by a large and growing investor community, and trusted by Fortune 1000 companies across retail, entertainment and consumer goods.
About the role: You'll be the in-house design anchor for the entire portfolio — owning brand identity, presentation and campaign design (decks, ad creative, social and blog graphics, logos and brand guidelines) and serving as the primary point of design accountability , alongside the Portfolio Marketing team and an established network of freelance designers.
This isn't a role where you polish one brand. You'll move between several distinct brands in the same week, and each one has to look unmistakably like itself .
What You'll Do
- Day-to-day design production. Own decks, ad creative, social and blog graphics and other marketing collateral across the portfolio — reliable in-house coverage wherever freelance capacity runs short.
- Brand identity. Lead logo development and create and maintain brand guidelines for portfolio companies.
- Campaign alignment.
Partner with the Portfolio Marketing team in recurring planning and review sessions to line up creative output with campaign priorities.
- Freelance coordination. Work with the brand, motion and project-based freelance designers in the network — keeping quality consistent and handoffs clean between in-house and freelance work.
- Multiple brands, multiple deadlines. Manage concurrent requests across different brands, using independent creative judgment on style and visual consistency.
- Organized assets. Maintain project files and brand assets in Frame.io, Adobe Creative Suite, and Figma or Canva as needed.
- Quality gate. Make sure every deliverable meets each brand's guidelines and the company's quality standards before it's published or distributed.
How We Work
- Not a 9–5. Workload follows the pace of the business: it surges during fundraising campaigns, with more predictable weeks in between. Fast turnarounds during those surges come with the job.
- An evening approval window. Final creative approvals happen in a recurring early-evening window, roughly 7–9pm Pacific Time. You'll need to reliably be available for it.
- In-house anchor, freelance bench. You're the constant; freelancers flex around you.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of senior-level graphic and brand design experience,
including brand identity and guideline development.
- A strong portfolio of original, polished work across decks, advertising creative and brand/logo design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and familiarity with Figma and Canva.
- Experience keeping brand consistency across multiple distinct brands or clients at the same time.
- Independence: you manage competing priorities across companies and hit deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills — comfortable coordinating a distributed freelance network and joining recurring team meetings.
- Comfort with non-traditional, variable hours, and reliable availability for the 7–9pm PT approval window.
Salary & Benefits
- Location: 100% remote — open to candidates in the United States or Canada.
- Salary: CAD $80,000 - $110,000 per year for Canada-based candidates.
- This is a full time, long-term remote position, immediately available, reporting directly to the head of portfolio marketing & communications. This role is engaged as an independent contractor position
- Schedule: variable hours tied to campaign cycles, with a recurring 7–9pm PT approval window.
- Additional perks and benefits.
Ready to apply? We'd love to hear your story. The next step is a short application where you can share more about your background and upload your resume, along with a portfolio showing your deck, ad creative and brand identity work. Take your time — we read every response carefully.
