Role Description The Senior PeopleSoft Administrator will provide end-to-end technical support and administration for PeopleSoft environments, ensuring system stability, performance, and security in a remote, contract role. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring production systems, managing application and database performance, and handling incident resolution and root cause analysis. The role will also involve configuring and maintaining PeopleSoft application servers and web servers, managing Tuxedo domains, and coordinating patching, upgrades, and environment refreshes.





The administrator will collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and database teams to support deployments, optimize configurations, and implement best practices for backup, recovery, and change management. This position requires proactive systems monitoring, documentation of procedures, and participation in on-call or after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong PeopleSoft administration skills, including environment setup, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.
- Experience with production support and troubleshooting activities for mission-critical enterprise systems.
- Hands-on expertise with Tuxedo configuration, domain management, and related middleware components.
- Practical knowledge of database administration concepts for PeopleSoft back-end databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL query analysis.
- Proficiency in system monitoring tools, log analysis, and incident management frameworks.
- Understanding of operating systems (Linux/UNIX/Windows) and networking fundamentals relevant to enterprise application support.
- Ability to document processes, create runbooks, and follow structured change and release management practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional, distributed teams.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead PeopleSoft Administrator role supporting large-scale environments is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
