Associates seeks a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consulting. The successful applicant will prepare detailed construction cost estimates, conduct trade quantity take-offs, and manage communication with various project stakeholders to address cost implications and value engineering. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project documents
- Analyze quotations and pricing from contractors and suppliers
- Liaise with architects and engineers on design revisions
- Conduct site visits for project monitoring and expense assessment
- Mentor junior staff on technical aspects of surveying
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying or related field
- Minimum 5 years in quantity surveying or cost consulting
- Qualified Quantity Surveyor (PQS) designation required
- Strong knowledge of construction specifications and drawings
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence for site travel
