Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Lead Consultant to lead finance transformation, optimization, and innovation initiatives within an SAP S/4HANA environment. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to Finance leadership, partnering with business stakeholders, executive sponsors, and delivery teams to maximize the value of SAP investments and drive continuous business improvement.

This role requires deep expertise across SAP S/4HANA Finance, strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence business and technology roadmaps. The consultant must be comfortable presenting to and engaging with Vice Presidents, Directors, Finance Leaders, and Executive Steering Committees, translating complex SAP capabilities into clear business outcomes.





Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

- Lead post-upgrade optimization initiatives across SAP S/4HANA Finance components, including:
- FI (Financial Accounting)
- CO (Controlling)
- Project Systems (PS)
- Treasury and Risk Management (TRM)
- Cash Management
- OpenText VIM
- Develop and execute a multi-year SAP Finance roadmap aligned with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to leverage new S/4HANA capabilities, automation, analytics, and AI-driven innovations.
- Partner with Finance leadership to define business strategies and transformation initiatives.
- Provide executive-level recommendations and business cases for process improvements and technology investments.

Business Consulting & Stakeholder Management

- Act as a trusted advisor to Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and Project Controls teams.
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and solution options.
- Lead discussions with Vice Presidents, Directors, and senior business leaders on SAP-enabled transformation initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions and implementation roadmaps.
- Build consensus across business and technical stakeholders.

Governance & Controls

- Design and implement automated financial controls and audit-compliant processes.
- Support external and internal audit requirements.
- Ensure compliance with financial governance, security, and regulatory standards.
- Establish best practices for solution documentation, testing, and change management.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- good years of SAP Finance consulting experience.
- Minimum good years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance experience.
- Proven experience leading finance transformation initiatives in SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Experience supporting or optimizing SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Deep knowledge of:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable

- Asset Accounting
- Cost Center Accounting
- Internal Orders
- Project Systems
- Cash Management
- Treasury Management
- Robust project leadership and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience managing onshore, offshore, and outsourced support or development teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP S/4HANA Finance Certification.
- CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent accounting designation.
- Experience with SAP BPC or SAP Analytics Cloud for planning and consolidation.
- Knowledge of RPA tools for finance process automation.

Salary Range - CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 120,000 Per Year
