The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of bilingual imperative (CBC/CBC) and an Enhanced Reliability Status with Top Secret security clearance.A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.Indeterminate employees at the same group and level, or equivalent may be considered for deployment, assignment/secondment prior to the assessment of other applicants.Please ensure to include a functional e-mail address, which will accept messages from unknown users (some e-mail systems block these types of e-mails).

SECURITY AND RELIABILITY: RCMP Top Secret Security Clearance.All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to), reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.In accordance with theTreasury Board Secretariat (TBS) Directive on Security Screening, effective January 6, 2025, Canadian citizenship is a requirement for a Top Secret clearance. Please note that while a Top Secret clearance is not required at the time of application, all conditions of employment, including security clearance, must be met prior to appointment and maintained for the duration of employment in the position.Please refer to the TBSDirective on Security Screening for more information: Willingness and ability to travel in all areas of Canada and abroad. Several* years of experience in the interpretation and application of the requirements of the Treasury Board Policy on Government Security and related directives or standards. ~ Significant experience in leading or coordinating multidisciplinary projects with internal and external stakeholders. ~ Significant and recent experience in physical security including the planning, conduct and reporting of facility security inspections, vulnerability assessments or threat and risk assessments.: Several is defined as the performance of duties on a continuous basis for two (2) years or more. ~:
Knowledge of the Treasury Board Policy on Government Security and related directives and standards. Knowledge of security risk assessment concepts and practices. Knowledge of physical security concepts, practices and controls.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
PERSONAL SUITABILITY: Planning and Organizing Language requirements (essential for the job) Various language requirements - CBC/CBC English Essential Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institute in Security Management, Architecture or Civil Engineering technology, Mechanical or Electronic Technology, Property Management, or other specialty programs relevant to the position. Significant** experience in the research and development of corporate or departmental security related policy, guidelines, advisories or other related instruments.
