Reports to: Managing Director / Shop Supervisor In winter we're all about skis, snowboards and snowshoes, and in summer we switch to bikes, BBQs and patio furniture. Our customers are locals, weekend warriors, families and serious enthusiasts, and we pride ourselves on expert advice and friendly, top-notch service. As a seasonal Service Tech at our Osler Bluff Ski Club location, you'll keep skis and snowboards tuned, secure and performing at their best all winter. Your careful, quality workmanship is what gets our customers back on the hill with confidence, and it's a big part of what sets Squire John's apart. Mount, adjust and test bindings to manufacturer specifications and safety standards Inspect customer equipment, diagnose issues, and explain the work required and expected turnaround times Check equipment in and out, and communicate clearly with customers at drop-off and pickup Keep accurate service records and manage the service queue to meet customer promises, especially during busy weekends and holidays Operate,



clean and maintain tuning machines, tools and workshop equipment safely Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop and workstation Track and restock shop supplies such as wax, abrasives and hardware, and flag low inventory Work closely with the sales team and the Osler staff and members to deliver an exceptional customer experience Take on other service and shop duties as assigned Previous experience as a ski or snowboard tech is an asset, but we're happy to train someone with mechanical aptitude and a passion for winter sports Binding certification or other relevant technical training is an asset Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail and a commitment to safe, quality workmanship Friendly, clear communication skills for working with customers and teammates Availability for the full winter season, including weekends and holidays Competitive wages, commensurate with your expertise, experience and relevant qualifications Work in a beautiful setting at a well-known local club Hands-on training and opportunities to learn from product and service experts Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
