Service Technician – Pump & Motor Repair/ Rotating Equipment

Location: Kamloops, BC The Chance:

Our Kamloops operation is busy and continuing to grow, and we’re looking for a Service Technician – Pump & Motor Repair to join our team.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. You’ll work across two sides of our service business diagnosing, repairing and rebuilding pumps and electric motors, while also supporting our growing agriculture and irrigation service and repair work throughout the Central Interior.

Some days you’ll be in the shop troubleshooting and rebuilding equipment; other days you’ll be in the field working directly with customers. If you enjoy variety, solving mechanical problems and not doing the same thing every day, this could be a great fit.

What You’ll Do:

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild and test pumps and electric motors.
- Complete repairs and maintenance both in the shop and in the field.
- Inspect equipment, identify failures and determine required repairs and replacement parts.
- Disassemble, repair and rebuild pumps, motors and related equipment.
- Test completed repairs to ensure equipment is operating safely and reliably.
- Support agricultural and irrigation service calls if needed, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Work across both pump and motor repair and agriculture/irrigation service based on customer and business needs.
- Work closely with the branch, sales and service teams to coordinate repairs and customer requirements.
- Accurately document work orders, labour time, parts used and work completed.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
- Follow established company safety procedures and safe work practices.

What You Bring:

- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.




- Pump and/or electric motor repair experience.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine practical repair solutions.
- Comfortable working independently in both shop and field environments.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving mindset.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Interest in working across multiple areas of service rather than being limited to one type of work.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Willingness to travel throughout Kamloops and the Central Interior for field service calls.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with equipment repair and field service work.

Bonus points:

- Electrical background.
- Journeyperson Electrician or 4th-year Electrical Apprentice is an asset.
- Millwright background or certification is an asset.
- Agriculture or irrigation service experience.
- Experience with pumping systems, electric motors, water-handling equipment, controls or related equipment.
