NOTICE OF POSTING For Sessional Faculty The Department of Religious Studies invites applications for the following teaching position to be offered in the 2027 Winter Term.

Wage Rate*: $9,435.73 (per schedule "A" of the CUPE Local 3906, Unit 2 Collective Agreement)

Teaching schedule: Tuesdays 12:30 - 2:20 p.m., Thursdays 12:30 - 1:20 p.m.

Course Description/Relevant Employment Duties A study of the Gospels. Special attention will be given to the possible literary relationships among the Gospels as well as to the distinctive features of their Jesus stories.

Required Qualifications:

Eligible candidates are those with a completed PhD as well as graduate students whose university funding has expired; doctoral students who apply must have completed all course work and comprehensive exams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience in the subject area is preferred.

The employee may be eligible to receive supplemented fees in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement. The actual rate of pay when in excess of the base rate of pay is deemed to include any supplemented fees owing, to the extent of the excess amount. If the actual rate of pay is less than the sum of the base rate of pay and the supplemented fees owing, then the employee shall receive the difference.
