Shelter Resource
Workers engage with diverse guests facing homelessness, addictions, and mental health challenges. You will conduct intakes, connect clients to services, and maintain a protected environment while complying with health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Offer supervision and support to homeless adults daily
- Connect clients with community services and external resources
- Conduct interviews and provide basic necessities for guests
- Maintain records and compile statistical data effectively
- Support new staff and contribute to a safe workspace
Requirements:
- Related certificate or Grade 12 plus two years experience
- Familiarity with addiction and mental health resources
- Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
- Effective stress management and organizational skills
- Criminal Record Clearance for Vulnerable Sector
