Kozy is looking for a part-time Social Media & Content Creator to help capture, create, organize, and publish content that showcases our landscaping, renovation, and outdoor living projects.

This role combines photography and videography with day-to-day social media content creation and management. You’ll visit active job sites to capture new content, while also working with our existing library of photos and videos to create engaging posts, reels, stories, project highlights, and other marketing content.

We’re looking for someone who understands how to turn real projects into engaging social content — whether that means capturing a transformation from start to finish, creating a reel from existing footage, writing a strong caption, or identifying opportunities to showcase our team, services, and completed work.

This is a part-time role with flexible hours that may vary depending on project activity, content needs, and seasonal workload.

Responsibilities

- Manage and maintain Kozy’s social media presence, primarily across Instagram and Facebook
- Create, schedule, and publish social media posts, reels, stories, and other content
- Repurpose existing photos and video footage into fresh social media content
- Write captions and supporting copy that reflect Kozy’s brand and services
- Develop content around completed projects, transformations, behind-the-scenes moments, team highlights, educational tips, seasonal services, and promotions
- Visit job sites throughout Ottawa and surrounding areas to capture photo and video content
- Document projects at different stages, including before, during, and after completion
- Capture content that highlights the quality of our work, project transformations, and the process behind each project




- Identify meaningful visual moments, details, and angles that help tell the story of a project
- Edit short-form video content for reels and social media
- Edit and organize photography for social media, website, and other marketing use
- Maintain an organized photo and video content library
- Collaborate with the team to identify upcoming projects, promotions, and content opportunities
- Help plan and maintain a consistent social media content schedule
- Monitor published content and help identify which types of posts are performing well
- Keep up with relevant social media trends and identify opportunities that fit the Kozy brand
- Use available equipment such as a drone, microphone, and other content tools when appropriate

Experience / Qualifications
- Experience creating content for social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook
- Strong photography and videography skills
- Experience creating and editing short-form video content
- Ability to create visually compelling content that tells a clear story
- Comfortable working with both newly captured and existing photo/video content
- Strong writing skills with the ability to create engaging social media captions
- Experience with photo and video editing software
- Experience with content creation tools such as Canva is an asset
- Good understanding of social media trends,



formats, and best practices
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain a adaptable schedule
- Valid driver’s licence and access to transportation
- Experience creating content for landscaping, construction, renovations, home improvement, or another project-based industry is an asset

- Some work can be completed remotely, including editing, content creation, scheduling, and social media management
- Travel to job sites throughout Ottawa and surrounding areas will be required
- Existing photo and video content will be available to create and repurpose into new social media content
