Remote Type Hybrid Remote Travel Required
Reporting to the Software Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team. You will gain exposure and relevant experience in the IT industry as a Software Developer, working on the existing enterprise solution known as the Ross Platform Manager; Features you’ll work on include licensing, orchestration, role-based access control, DashBoard custom panel rendering in a web browser, and the migration of our existing solution to a modern framework, React. You will participate in an Agile team, working alongside your colleagues to design, develop and implement enterprise-grade solutions while learning about how to become a better developer though the awareness and detection of code smells, design patterns, and industry best practices.
This position is primarily remote (work from home) with the occasional in office day located at our Ottawa Campus in Nepean. Our pay rates range from $24 - $35 per hour, based on experience. Currently enrolled in Computer Science or a similar academic program.
Experience with Java is a must.
Experience with web technologies like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Experience with front-end libraries and frameworks like React, Redux, and RxJS.
Experience with writing unit tests and using testing frameworks like Jest is highly valued.
Experience with tools and applications like npm, webpack, babel and NodeJS is an asset.
Experience with GitHub and GitLab is an asset.
Experience or familiarity with the Agile methodology. Interested in developing cloud technologies and working in an AWS environment. You enjoy new technical challenges and are excited at the prospect of writing code for actual, shipping products.
