We are looking for a Software Development Engineer who wants to solve large-scale distributed systems problems with direct, measurable impact on customers. Our team owns the services that greet new members and guide them to the benefits that matter most to them, across web, mobile app, and email, in countries around the world. Improve the performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of systems that handle very high request volumes Write well-tested, maintainable code and raise the engineering bar through design and code reviews You will love this role if you enjoy hard technical problems, care deeply about customer experience, and want to see your work reach production and real members quickly.

Own your services end to end - design, implementation, deployment, and day-to-day operations Improve the performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of systems that handle very high request volumes You'll write and review code, dig into a performance or reliability question, and pair with other engineers to unblock a launch. Because we ship and experiment often, you'll regularly see a change you made reach real members and watch the data come back to tell you whether it worked.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
