The Marketplace and App Experience domain is the main pillar of our core consumer strategy, driving the user journey across all of our frontend surfaces: Mobile and Web. The teams span across multiple products and areas to engage and provide value to our customers, starting with the Home hub in the app or website, which expands into the various product offers and journeys a user can embark on with affirm. This role will be at the forefront of our front‑end facing cross‑team projects, working closely with other teams and engineers across our mobile and web technologies, while also evolving and collaborating with every product experience team at affirm.

With the support of your team’s tech lead and manager, you will break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver them in multiple phases, and collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery of your work. You will support your peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design & analytics by participating in ideation, articulating technical constraints, and partnering on decisions that properly consider risks and trade‑offs. You will support the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting “keep the lights on” & on‑call efforts.

You will contribute to a sense of community on your team by engaging in growth and development activities such as participation in the interview process. You have a total of 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.



You have experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue You have experience shipping mobile apps using native or cross‑platform languages like React Native You have experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale using languages like Kotlin or Python.

You have mastered taking a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components, and executing on it by writing clear, easily understood, well tested and extensible code. This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

(CAD $133,000 - $183,000 Location - Remote Canada This remote role is open only to candidates residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.
