-Define and maintain reference architectures for AI/ML workloads (training, inference, RAG, agentic, fine-tuning, etc.)

Establish technology standards: approved frameworks, model providers, data platforms, integration patterns

Review architectural designs for high-risk or novel AI initiatives directly; Train and enables project architects and tech leads to apply reference architectures without needing central involvement for every initiative

Lead the team's architecture research and technology evaluation: conducts horizon scanning of emerging AI/ML techniques, architectures, and platforms; presents recommendations to Head of AI Governance and Architecture and peer leads for cross-cutting review before adoption

Partner with enterprise architecture, cloud platform, and data teams to ensure AI architecture aligns with the broader technology landscape

Partner with the Cybersecurity team so that reference architectures and design reviews incorporate the AI Security controls, secure-design requirements,



and red-teaming findings of that team
