Toyotetsu Canada Inc. (TTCA) is a Tier 1 Automotive Parts Supplier to Toyota Manufacturing Facilities located in the heart of Norfolk County. We utilize state of the art TTCA has an opening for a Specialist in our Accounting Department. This position reports directly to the Assistant Manager, Accounting.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Specialist works within the accounting department to perform daily accounts payable and general accounting activities. This person requires strong organizational skills and high attention to detail to ensure deadlines are met. This role requires strong communication skills to facilitate discussions within the department as well as multiple other departments.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Daily Accounts Payable (A/P) tasks – printing invoices, matching, vouchers, entering, scanning, filing.
- Review account statements, update reports and other records and review for accuracy
- Prepare and analyze account reconciliations as required.
- Month-end A/P tasks – support closing procedures as required
- Prepare monthly journal entries as required
- Preparation and review of monthly cheque run
- Review and record Fixed Assets
- Maintain documentation for compliance with policies and procedures for internal audits
- Cross Training with other roles in the department for vacation coverage
- Other tasks as required to support departmental needs

Education/Experience Desired

- College diploma in accounting and/or equivalent education and work experience
- Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience preferable in the manufacturing field
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of Plex is an asset
