Under the leadership of the Project Manager in our Windsor, ON Office, theGeotechnical Engineerwill participate in the conception and development of various commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects in the Geotechnical and Materials testing field.
What a day at EXP has in store for you Carry out a wide range of Geotechnical projects including Geotechnical Investigations and Materials testing projects. Project coordination including arranging utility locates and site access, perform borehole layout.
Prepare proposals for Geotechnical investigations and Materials Testing projects.
Collect samples for environmental (analytical) testing and prepare chain of custody form for submission to an independent laboratory. Assist with Inspection and Testing projects from a review/reporting perspective. Manage several projects in Geotechnical and Materials Testing area.
Attend site from time to time to carry out footing/rebar inspections.
Engineering Undergraduate
Degree (Civil Engineering or Earth Science) ~ Geo. is preferred although EIT is acceptable ~Ability to understand and resolve problems while on construction sites ~ Ability to exercise diplomacy and tact when interacting with fellow staff, clients, consultants and contractors ~ Ability to write transparent field reports, including making recommendations ~ Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel to construction sites as needed EXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
