Role requires flexibility to work extended hours and overtime as per customer needs.
Cross section preparation of electronic printed circuit assemblies & metallurgical assessments of solder joints Incoming quality inspection and qualification of printed circuit boards and components Support process qualifications and manufacturing failure analysis of electronic assemblies Internal customer interface and technical report writing Application of electronics industry and customer standards to evaluate quality and solve problems Hand soldering of electronic circuit assemblies and components This role may also support the Mechanical Engineering Test Lab and the Setting Chamber Lab as business needs require Possible operation of FTIR,
Ion Chromatography and other chemical testing as business needs arise Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) The hourly wage is determined by the years of study completed and is non‑negotiable as per company policy.
Hourly Wage: $23-30 CAD/hr Location: 213 Harry Walker Parkway South, Newmarket (100% on site, no remote / no hybrid work) Experience: No Formal Experience Required. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a formal 16-month University Internship/Co-Op Program and are now completing the 3rd year of a 4-year Materials Engineering program or 4th year of a 5-year Materials Engineering program. ***As this position involves work that is subject to the Canadian Government's Controlled Goods Program (CGP), your employment offer is conditional upon the successful completion of a security assessment by Celestica and/or its authorized agents, per the Controlled Goods Regulations.
