International

Services for Students provides holistic programs and services to support the international, newcomer and refugee student experience at SFU and manages the University's Study Abroad Programs (formal exchange, study abroad, faculty-led field schools) with over 130 partners around the globe to facilitate transformative international and intercultural learning opportunities for SFU students. Acts as the first primary contact for SFU International Services for Students. Responds to inquiries from students, faculty, staff, parents, international visitors, and the general public regarding admissions to, studying at, and programs offered through SFU International Services for Students.

Provides a range of secretarial, clerical, and administrative support to SFU International Services for Students staff and programs. and maintains office files and inventory. High school graduation and one-year post-secondary education with training in word processing, spreadsheet, database and web applications,



and in office procedures; basic bookkeeping and accounting practices. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.

Excellent knowledge of records management systems and concepts. Good knowledge of university programs, policies, and procedures. Good knowledge of standard office practices, methods, and equipment. Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.

Ability to use standard office and desktop publishing applications (e.g., MSWord, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat) at an intermediate level.
