Geomatics team within the Transportation Group is looking for a Survey Technician/Technologist to support our operations across the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. In this role, you will contribute to technical fieldwork, assisting with data collection and surveying activities on a variety of projects. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, enjoys travelling, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in developing a career in Geomatics.

Perform a variety of survey including topographic, bathymetric, monitoring, 3D scanning. Prepare survey drawings in Civil3D Research, purchase, and draft plans from BC Land Titles QA/QC of field data and drafted data Willingness to travel for work throughout British Columbia including overnighting with accommodations and meal allowances provided.
Physically capable of preforming work outdoors in rugged terrain and all weather conditions. Makes safety culture a priority, demonstrating a focus on safety/risk analysis and mitigation Working knowledge in field survey methodology Knowledge in BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MoTI),
MMCD standards considered an asset Experienced in using Trimble survey equipment (preferred) including data collectors, GNSS rovers, robotic total stations, and 3D scanners Working knowledge of survey calculations, geodetic coordinate systems, and map projections Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in Geomatics; additional training will be provided to qualified candidates Stantec is a global leader in sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting.
