Become a Swim Coach with the Canucks Autism Network at YMCA Kamloops. This role focuses on skill development, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive environment. As a Swim Coach, you will lead participants in skill building while implementing CAN's autism-informed curriculum.

Successful candidates will also train Support Workers, promote teamwork, and assess participants' swimming skills. Through in-depth mentorship and small class sizes, this position offers a supportive framework to enhance coaching effectiveness. Key Responsibilities:

- Create structured lesson plans tailored to participant needs
- Utilize autism-informed methods for effective engagement
- Support the onboarding and guidance of Support Workers
- Ensure smooth operation and timing of sessions
- Assess and report on individual swimming skills

Requirements:

- At least 1 year experience in coaching youth sports
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification
- Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification required
- Comfortable in all pool depths
- Explicit criminal record check is necessary
