Aquatic Employment Swim Instructor - City Wide The Community Recreation Branch is responsible for the delivery of high-quality, community-based recreation programs and services to the diverse neighbourhoods of Toronto. We provide a variety of programs that promote the social and physical development for people of all ages, with an emphasis on children and youth.

Job Type: Temporary, Part time Hourly Rate: $ 24.40 Talent pool for future vacancies Shift Information: TBD Section: PFR CR Community Recreation Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions. Ensure compliance with Ontario Health Regulations and all relevant legislation, policies and procedures outlined in guiding documents and manuals. Perform administrative tasks to support programs.
Perform maintenance/janitorial duties, including but not restricted to, change room/washroom cleaning and disinfecting, pool chemistry tests, pool vacuuming, backwashing, chemical balancing, and pool fouling clean up. Ensure principles of Healthy Child Development (HIGH FIVE®) in the planning and delivery of programs. Plan, conduct and evaluate swim lessons, focusing on water-safety.
Responsible to ensure accident prevention, public education, and public relations.
Current National
Lifeguard – Pool certification, Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor and Lifesaving Instructor You possess certification in Parks and Recreation Ontario's Principles of Healthy Child Development (PHCD).
