Project Overview: The Bloor-Yonge CapacityImprovements Project is a significant undertaking by the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) to expand and modernize Bloor-Yonge station – Canada’s busiest subway hub.

Venture (KMJV) is committed to transforming the station to enable faster, more reliable, and more comfortable travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area. The project will deliver upgraded facilities, contributing to a safer, cleaner, and higher-capacity subway system for passengers. With around 4,000 engineers, professional managers, and skilled operatives internationally, we work together as One Murphy to ensure project success. #Talent Acquisition Specialist (18 Month Contract) The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible forplaying a key role in driving the rapid and strategic recruitment efforts for this high-impact project. This roleplays a critical role in delivering full-cycle recruitment across technical, operational, and functional roles.



This position supports the attraction and selection of top talent across all project areas.

Manage full-cycle recruitment through to the pre-offer stage for assigned roles, including proactive sourcing, pre-screening, interviewing, presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers, and supporting offer negotiations. Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, hiring strategies, and timelines in alignment with approved hiring plans and project schedules. Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to meet hiring needs, leveraging job boards, social media, professional networks,and search firms as required.

Source, screen, and coordinate interviews for construction, technical, and project-based roles. Ensure equitable, transparent, and compliant recruitment practices aligned with partnership, governance, and regulatory standards.

Leverage

LinkedIn and its recruitment tools (including LinkedIn Recruiter and recruiting campaigns) to build and maintain strong talent pipelines. Utilize the applicant tracking system to manage multiple requisitions, candidate pipelines, recruitment data, dashboards, offer tracking, and onboarding workflows. Strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes, from sourcing and candidate engagement through to the pre-offer stage.

Experience working with applicant tracking systems. Detail-oriented with strong administrative and organizational skills. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
