Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the full recruitment cycle for specialized, technical, unionized, and non-unionized positions across Velan.

Draft and post job advertisements on various recruitment platforms. Advise managers on recruitment strategies and labor market trends.

Ensure compliance with collective agreements when recruiting unionized employees.



Develop and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, employment agencies, and other recruitment sources. Produce recruitment performance metrics and recommend process improvements.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Experience recruiting both unionized and non-unionized employees.

Experience recruiting skilled trades, production personnel, professionals, and management-level employees. Proficiency with recruitment tools, job posting platforms, and the Microsoft Office Suite. Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.

Customer service and results-oriented approach. Ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment with a high volume of recruitment activity. Occasional availability to participate in job fairs and recruitment activities outside regular working hours.

Occasional travel between Velan sites, including the Montreal and Granby facilities, as required. #
