Description The pharmacy technical assistant assists thepharmacist in the fulfilment of prescriptions, the keeping of patient files andthe execution of technical duties related to the preparation and dispensing ofmedications. The technical assistant also participates in inventory managementand other delegated tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers, carry out collection of data,create/update the patient’s file
- Fulfill and package theprescriptions
- Offer customer service that is professional,empathetic and enthusiastic
- Respond to phone calls
- Help detect potential problems ofnon-compliance and know to refer patients to the pharmacist, when required
- See to the cleanliness and hygiene of thelaboratory as well as the placement of merchandise
- Maintain the stock of the pharmacy using the inventorycontrol systems
- Arrange transfers from third party payers (ifapplicable)
- Perform the duties of pharmacy cashier, ifneeded
- Monitor the expiry dates of medications

Requisite skills and knowledge:

- Aptitude for mathematicalcalculations
- Highly-developed sense of customer service
- Communication skills,listening and empathy
- Attention to thoroughnessand detail
- Autonomous
- Team player
- Pharmacy technical assistant diploma is anasset





The position is offered by the pharmacy owner(s).

Education : None

Experience : 1 to 6 months experience

French Language : Very good knowledge

English Language : No knowledge
