The repair mechanic & balancer is responsible for manual repair operations, reassembly, and dynamic balancing of centrifuge equipment & assemblies. The mechanic performs precision mechanical work on rotating equipment and ensures that repaired components meet defined dimensional, quality, and balancing requirements Your responsibilities and tasks Assembly and fitting of new and used centrifuge bowls assemblies Repairs, modifies and manufactures parts using hand tools or metal working machines such as manual milling machines or drill presses and fits them to the assembly. Polishes parts used in critical pharmaceutical or biotechnology processes to required surface finish per drawing.

Balancing of new or used centrifuge rotating assemblies as described in technical documents such as drawings, technical bulletins or written instructions. Disassembles and re-assembles bowl assemblies and checks repeatability of balance values. Reviews and completes required documentation and administrative paperwork in a timely manner.

Follows all applicable QHSE rules and regulatory requirements High School Diploma or GED – good foundation in math, physics and mechanical properties Technical or Vocational training Associate Degree in mechanical Engineering or industrial maintenance (optional but beneficial) Mechanical knowledge and experience. Mechanical trade, machining, maintenance, or equivalent technical background.

Experience working with rotating industrial equipment is strongly preferred.

Experience with dynamic balancing of rotating units is preferred. Reading technical manuals and blueprints Diagnostics and Troubleshooting – Identifying mechanical, and vibrational related issues. Disassembly & Reassembly – Properly dismantling, inspecting and reassembling mechanical components. Good technical communicational skills (spoken and written).

Experience using electronic devices such as measuring arms, computers and Microsoft office tools.
