Evaluate audit findings and coordinate timely remediation of deficiencies.
Improve SOX documentation and work papers i.e. work with process-owners to refine risk control matrix, improve process flows, refine/develop test procedures, propose control language and associated risks etc.
Develop value-added relationships with process owners/stake holders and make recommendations for process improvement. Lead the preparation of high quality written audit reports.
Evaluate risks and controls for new system and/or process implementations, assess the financial impact on SOX/other controls and recommend solutions to correct issues identified. Occasionally contribute to Non-SOX and ad hoc projects like operations audits, business process revamps, investigations, data analytics, etc. Must have an undergraduate or graduate Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business (with an Accounting or Finance specialization). ~ Must have a Canadian Accounting designation (CA, CPA). ~4-6 years with SOX audits and controls testing in manufacturing industry. ~ Self-starter, excellent interpersonal skills and versatile team player in an environment with changing processes/procedures. ~ Working knowledge of MS Office programs. ~ Willing to travel for Company business.
This posting is for an existing salaried union (2724) vacancy that is located on-site in Sault Ste. This is a temporary contract position that will be for approximately 5 months in length.
