This role includes relocation assistance if required for the successful candidate to relocate to the local area. This role will support the Annacis Island (Vancouver) manufacturing site for a 24-month temporary assignment.

Human Resources Business

Manager with a strong dotted line of responsibility to the Mill Manager. The HR Generalist will provide onsite human resource support to the manufacturing facility. The HR Generalist must have appropriate leadership skills, HR technical knowledge and experience to participate in human resource special projects, processes and assignments within the Wood Products HR team.

Strategic business partner and member of the mill leadership team as well as the Engineered Wood Products (EWP)/Panels HR team. Provide consultation, guidance and coaching to leaders and associates. Proactively manage HR administrative activities and labour relations.

Ensures compliance requirements and champions diversity goals and inclusive work environment. Manage education, training and continuous development of skills for leaders and associates. Responsible for salaried and hourly staffing functions (includes sourcing, recruiting, retention and on boarding process).

Human

Resources & Health/Safety/Quality Full-time Shift Relocation Assistance Bachelor’s Degree ~2 to 4 years of human resource generalist or equivalent experience in key HR functions.



~ Strong coaching and influencing skills. ~ Ability to develop and maintain collaborative and effective working relationships at site, across WP businesses and in the local community. ~ Experience in issue resolution and employee relations. ~ Experience in Talent and Performance Management. ~ Strong sourcing, recruiting and staffing capabilities. ~ Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, manages multiple priorities, assess HR implications and manage details. ~ Strong computer skills and proficiency in HR systems.
