Barrhead Continuing Care is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will provide leadership and coordination of occupational therapy services while supporting high-quality resident care across continuing care, long-term care, and home care programs.

Full time HSAA:This position may qualify for a recruitment incentive of up to $60,000, based on the length of their Return for Service. As an Occupational Therapist II, you will be responsible for the coordination of occupational therapy and other allied health clinical services within a program or service area. You will provide supervision of students and team members as assigned.
As an Occupational Therapist II, you will be responsible to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team where you will be an integral member, providing leadership to other healthcare professionals. You will ensure occupational therapy practice is evidence-based and in alignment with Alberta legislation and regulations, professional standards of practice, code of ethics and AHS policy and guidelines.You will be providing coordination of the day-to-day operations of an assigned service area and monitoring care delivery,
identifying service needs and assisting other medical staff with caseload management, completing chart audits and providing follow-up and feedback to staff. You will be participating in program development and operational planning and representing the department on committees or programs.
You will be making decisions on staffing level requirements, workflow and caseload priorities in collaboration with managers and other healthcare providers.
