About the Role:

As a CBRE Third Class Operating Engineer, you will support the operation and maintenance of critical building and utility infrastructure across a large, complex environment.

This role is key in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of critical mechanical infrastructure within a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.

What You’ll Do:

- Perform routine operation and monitoring of boilers, chillers, HVAC, and auxiliary plant equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and equipment rounds.
- Record readings, maintain logs, and support regulatory compliance activities.
- Respond to alarms and assist with troubleshooting activities.




- Assist maintenance teams with repairs, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Support preventative maintenance programs and reliability initiatives.
- Maintain protected work practices and participate in safety programs.
- Assist during emergency situations and after-hours response activities.

What You’ll Need:

- Ontario Third Class Operating Engineer Certificate.
- 2 years of operating engineering experience within commercial, institutional, industrial, utility, or critical environments.
- Working knowledge of steam systems, HVAC equipment, pumps, and plant operations.
- Experience in airport, healthcare, data centre, district energy, or large commercial environments.
- Exposure to BAS and computerized maintenance systems.
- Familiarity with emergency power systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and operational procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
