Role Description

Emergency Parts Logistics (EPL) is looking for a Time Critical Logistics Specialist to join our Operations team.

Reporting to the Manager, Operations, you will coordinate time-sensitive shipments from pickup through final delivery, working closely with customers, agents, carriers, customs, warehouse teams, and internal operations. You will be responsible for managing routings, monitoring shipments, providing timely updates, maintaining shipment documentation, and helping ensure every shipment moves as efficiently as possible.

and understands that time-critical logistics often requires quick decisions and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and track time-critical shipments from initial request through final delivery.
- Communicate regularly with customers, agents, carriers, customs, staff, and other parties involved in each shipment.
- Arrange and coordinate pickups throughout Canada, with potential movements to and from the United States and international locations.
- Manage shipment routings using EPL’s Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Monitor routings, flights, connections, pickup and delivery milestones, and estimated times of arrival (ETAs).
- Provide customers and internal teams with regular, accurate shipment updates throughout the movement.
- Identify potential delays or disruptions and work with the appropriate parties to determine alternative solutions.
- Develop and maintain robust business relationships with customers through daily interactions and a high level of customer service.
- Work closely with EPL’s Operations teams to coordinate shipment requirements.
- Organize and maintain shipment-related documentation by job number within Dropbox and/or SharePoint.
- Collect, organize, and update expense documentation and receipts for timely submission.
- Support cross-border shipments and ensure applicable U.S. movements comply with TSA requirements.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure required information is properly documented.




- Support other operational and special projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience

- Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Aviation, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 2–3 years of experience in Time Critical logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, aviation logistics, courier operations, or a related field is required.
- Experience coordinating domestic, cross-border, or international shipments is an asset.
- Experience working in time-critical, expedited, AOG, or emergency logistics is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with a Transportation Management System (TMS) or similar logistics software is an asset.
- Familiarity with customs and cross-border shipping processes is an asset.
- Knowledge of TSA requirements is considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills and experience working with email, Microsoft Office, Dropbox, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as operationally required.

Availability & Work Requirements

This position requires the ability to work night shifts as part of EPL’s 24/7 time-critical logistics operation. The successful candidate must be comfortable working overnight hours and supporting time-sensitive shipments throughout their scheduled shift The role is hybrid/on-site and may require travel or in-person support based on operational and customer needs.
