We are seeking a Total Rewards Specialist to join our People Services team. In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in supporting the attraction, retention, and engagement of our workforce by administering compensation, benefits, pension, and employee lifecycle programs that impact thousands of employees across the organization.

What You'll Do

As a Total Rewards Specialist, you will serve as a trusted resource for employees, leaders, union representatives, and business partners. Your work will help ensure employees receive timely, accurate support throughout their employment journey.

Employee Lifecycle Administration

You will:

- Process employee lifecycle transactions including hires, extensions, transfers, leaves of absence, terminations, retirements, and other employment changes.
- Prepare employment documentation, correspondence, notifications, and HRIS transactions.
- Administer employee benefit and pension enrolments, changes, contributions, and related activities.
- Guide employees through important employment events and explain benefit, pension, leave, transfer, retirement, and exit processes.
- Collaborate with Payroll, Recruitment, IT, Security, benefit carriers, pension providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor data quality, resolve discrepancies, and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.

Client Service & Employee Support

You will:

- Respond to employee and leader inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and expertise.
- Research and resolve issues related to pay, advantages, pension, vacation entitlement, service recognition, seniority, policies, collective agreements, and legislation.




- Partner with managers, unions, and business partners to maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance.

Benefits & Pension Administration

You will:

- Administer benefit, life insurance, and pension programs.
- Interpret collective agreements, benefit plans, policies, contracts, and legislative requirements.
- Support employees in understanding eligibility, coverage, and enrollment processes.
- Investigate and resolve escalated coverage or claims concerns with external providers.
- Coordinate annual updates, eligibility reviews, and life-event changes.

Resident Administration

You will:

- Administer employment lifecycle processes for medical residents, including appointments, transfers, leaves, benefits, and pension enrolments.
- Support annual resident onboarding, intake activities, appointments, and related initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity and process excellence within HRIS and benefit administration systems.

Reporting, Records & Projects

You will:

- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
- Prepare workforce reports and metrics related to headcount, employment movement, leaves, temporary contracts, probationary periods, benefits, and more.
- Participate in audits, documentation updates, system improvements, and special projects that enhance the employee experience.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

- Three-year college diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three years of experience in Human Resources, Total Rewards, benefits administration, pension administration, or a related environment.
- Experience processing employee lifecycle transactions and maintaining HR records.
- Strong proficiency with HR Information Systems and database administration.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply collective agreements, policies, benefit and pension provisions, and applicable legislation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities.




- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Successful Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
