The Organizational

Effectiveness team builds TMU’s organizational design capability and enables complex, enterprise-level transformation through a structured, collaborative and people-centred approach. Working in close partnership with leaders and cross-functional HR teams, we bring together organizational design, project and change management expertise to help align people, roles, operating models and service delivery with the University’s evolving priorities. Our work is grounded in consistent methodology, strong governance and practical solutions, and includes some of TMU’s largest and most complex transformation initiatives.

As a Transformation Consultant, you’ll help Toronto Metropolitan University navigate the complex journey of organizational change by turning strategic priorities and ambitious ideas into meaningful improvements that can be understood, adopted, and sustained across the University. Working as part of the Organizational Effectiveness portfolio, you’ll contribute to the direction and delivery of transformation initiatives that help TMU adapt to an evolving environment while strengthening the employee and student experience. You’ll bring together project management, change management, and organizational effectiveness practices to help teams move confidently from vision to implementation and, ultimately, to measurable impact.

You’ll develop clear, cohesive roadmaps that help teams understand where they’re going, how they’ll get there, and what success looks like along the way. Using innovative and agile project management approaches, you’ll guide initiatives through design, development, and delivery while anticipating the organizational and human dimensions of change.

Your role will be particularly important in helping people navigate transformation. You’ll work across teams and organizational boundaries to build understanding, support adoption, identify barriers, and help ensure that new processes, practices, and ways of working become embedded rather than simply implemented. You’ll bring an inclusive and thoughtful lens to your work, ensuring transformation initiatives reflect TMU’s commitment to accessibility,



inclusion, and an exceptional employee and client experience.

You’ll also help teams strengthen their ability to manage change effectively, building organizational capability that extends beyond individual projects. This is an opportunity to help TMU not simply respond to change, but become better equipped to embrace it. Your work will help the University turn transformation into lasting improvement by creating clearer ways of working, stronger experiences, and an organization ready to adapt to what comes next.

To help us learn more about you, please provide a cover letter and resume describing how you meet the following required qualifications: At least five (5) years of relevant work experience on Transformation Projects and full cycle project management Experience applying agile methodologies to project delivery Experience identifying optimization opportunities, developing and implementing short and long-term strategic plans, including large scale projects and initiatives, management of junior resources, developing and implementing new or enhanced processes, and change management Experience leading projects, workshops and providing status updates to senior leaders and stakeholders Experience in developing business requirements, process analysis and process improvement Excellent project management skills, including planning, resource and budget scheduling, and risk management to lead concurrent projects; strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong consulting skills to work across lines of business/regions to influence decisions for a positive outcome; Strong digital literacy, with the capabilities to envision and build current models, tools, and ways of working while leveraging technology and digital enablers; Reports To Project Director, Transformation & Organizational Effectiveness Start Date ASAP Applicants who do not meet all of the posted qualifications may, upon the University’s sole discretion, be considered to fill a vacancy on an underfill basis.
