• Transport Technician at Miller Waste Systems is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining waste collection vehicles and equipment. This role ensures fleet reliability and safety through preventive maintenance, mentorship, and adherence to company and safety standards, supporting efficient operations and public service delivery. In the position of Truck &

• Transport Technician . Diagnose and repair complex, modern diesel engines, and advanced electrical and hydraulic systems. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance tasks such as PM and safety inspections. Mentor apprentice technicians and provide training to complete their apprenticeship program. Ensure that the shop and surrounding grounds are clean and organized at all times during the shift. You will be required to repair waste vehicles and trucks, including hydraulics and electrical as well as shop maintenance. You will be required to conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.



Successful candidates must possess and keep valid their licenses including a valid Journeyperson Certificate or be enrolled in a school for Truck &

• Transport Technician (Red Seal). Ability to perform MVI inspections, and familiarity with transportation regulation. You will have ability to diagnose and rectify faults, as well as experience in repairing hydraulic and electrical systems. Strong technical knowledge of equipment is a must. You must be available to work late when behind schedule, as well you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
