Provide essential academic advising for third and fourth year Mechanical and Industrial Engineering students at the University of Toronto. Engage in student support, manage inquiries, and guide academic petitions to enhance student success. As an Undergraduate Student Advisor, you will report to the Undergraduate Administrator and play a crucial role in advising students on their academic journeys.
You will help students navigate eligibility requirements, petitions, and appeals while maintaining a supportive, student-centered environment. Collaboration with faculty and university offices will be essential in addressing student concerns effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Advise students on academic and financial matters
- Provide detailed information on program policies and deadlines
- Support petition and appeal processes with informed alternatives
- Assess and review student petitions for special consideration
- Prepare and disseminate course timetables Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with four years of advising experience
- Knowledge of academic policies and advising systems
- Experience managing confidential information
- Robust organizational and communication skills
