Reception duties and telephone communication Processing patient orders through computer Typing/filing of patient reports/letters Preparing materials for Health Records Preparation and typing of patient program pamphlets, etc.

Recent Unit

Secretary experience in a hospital setting Excellent public relations, interpersonal, communication and organization skills Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) with a minimum typing speed of 45 w.p.m. Previous experience using Meditech and Community Wide Scheduling Knowledge of and/or completion of a medical terminology course Ability to work in a busy environment where patients are experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties Previous experience in mental health services will be an asset Previous experience organizing therapy group wait lists on excel , booking group orientation sessions and entering group series appointments is an asset by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required. The successful candidate will be scheduled 4 hour weekend shifts and have availability to cover day 8 hour shift Monday to Friday as needed.
