Great veterinary care depends on people who notice the little things—and care enough to act. At 48th Avenue Animal Hospital, we’re looking for a compassionate, dependable Veterinary Assistant who takes pride in helping pets feel safe and supporting the team behind their care.
We are an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital serving the Ladner community. From preventive care to surgery and dentistry, you’ll play a meaningful role in our patients’ comfort and wellbeing.
What you’ll do
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with examinations, treatments and procedures.
- Handle and restrain patients safely and compassionately.
- Support patient comfort, feeding, hygiene, and daily care.
- Prepare examination and treatment areas, clean instruments and maintain hospital cleanliness.
- Help keep supplies organized and daily appointments running smoothly.
- Communicate kindly and professionally with pet owners and teammates.
What you’ll bring

- The ability to stay organized and calm in a busy clinical environment.
- Previous veterinary assistant or animal-care experience is an asset; a veterinary assistant certificate is also welcome.
