Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centre has a new opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Ottawa, Ontario. In this role, you will be an essential part of keeping our intensive care unit running smoothly, ensuring patients receive attentive monitoring and pet parents receive thoughtful, consistent updates. Manage ICU admissions, procedural workflows, and medical records to support daily patient care.

Facilitate prompt, transparent communication among critical care veterinarians, pet parents, and referring veterinary teams.

Teamwork and Inpatient Support: Collaborate with technicians and medical teams to support patient monitoring, treatment workflows, and shift transitions.

Shift Availability: Maintain flexibility across rotating day and evening shifts to meet the energetic needs of our intensive care unit.

Registered Veterinary

Technician or eligible to register.

Experience with and willingness to enhance technical skills: anesthesia, constant rate infusions (CRI’s), epidurals and mechanical ventilators.
