Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
- Prepare animals for procedures and monitor their recovery
- Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files
- Provide client education on animal care, nutrition, and treatment plans
- Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of surgical instruments and treatment areas
- Support administrative tasks such as inventory management and scheduling appointments
Qualifications
- Experience working as a Veterinary Technician
- Previous laboratory experience to facilitate diagnostic testing processes
- Strong understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills with pet owners and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and their wellbeing
- Ability to work flexible hours
