One of our manufacturing clients is looking for a Contract Administrator lcoated near Hamilton, ON location Review, draft, revise, and negotiate construction contracts, purchase orders, and other legal documents to identify and mitigate contractual risks. Work closely with Canadian Sales and Operations teams to ensure contract scope, pricing, and obligations accurately reflect the original bid and project requirements. Negotiate contract terms and conditions with General Contractors, Consultants, Project Managers, and legal representatives.
Develop and standardize contract templates, procedures, and negotiation processes to improve consistency and efficiency. Ensure clear alignment between the scope of work, contract terms, change orders, supplementary conditions, amendments, and project responsibilities. Identify potential contractual gaps, inconsistencies, and areas of risk and recommend appropriate solutions.
Conduct contractual and legal research as required. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful project execution and contract compliance. Strong understanding of contract law, construction contracts, contract drafting, and negotiation. ~ Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Law, Construction, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent education, training, and experience will also be considered. ~ Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft and amend contractual and legal documents clearly, accurately, and concisely. ~ Ability to quickly understand recent concepts, construction terminology, and project requirements. ~ Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. ~
