Warehouse Manager – Afternoon Shift

Location: Ingersoll, Ontario

Shift: Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday

Position Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations on our afternoon shift in a freezer and temperature-controlled environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving activities, supporting production requirements, leading the warehouse team, and ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and finished products.

This is a working leadership role for someone who is comfortable being on the warehouse floor, making day-to-day operational decisions, solving problems, and operating material-handling equipment when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure inbound, outbound, staging, and production requirements are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Create weekly plans based on inbound and outbound shipping and receiving schedules.
- Coordinate daily priorities and assign orders/tasks to warehouse employees.
- Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound dock schedules.
- Lead, support,



and provide direction to warehouse employees to maintain productivity, accuracy, and safe work practices.
- Verify inbound and outbound orders and ensure discrepancies are addressed promptly.
- Work closely with Production, Shipping/Receiving, and other departments to resolve operational issues and ensure production requirements are met.
- Identify operational issues and implement practical solutions to improve workflow, productivity, and warehouse efficiency.
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations and make operational decisions as required.
- Maintain effective internal and external communication related to warehouse operations.
- Verify and maintain required documentation, including invoices, BOLs, and other shipping/receiving documents.
- Monitor warehouse inventory and ensure materials are available to support production.
- Monitor and maintain indirect supply inventories, including boxes, pallets, wraps, and other supplies.
- Operate stand-up narrow aisle reach truck.
- Operate counterbalance forklift.
- Operate walk-behind electric pallet jack.
- Ensure warehouse activities are conducted in accordance with company safety, food safety, GMP, and operational requirements.
- Support a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Qualifications / Characteristics
- 3+ years of progressive warehouse experience, including experience leading or supervising a warehouse team.
- Experience in a food manufacturing,



distribution, cold storage, or freezer environment is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field is an asset; equivalent warehouse experience will be considered.
- Robust organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make sound day-to-day operational decisions and resolve issues effectively.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment and operating material-handling equipment.
- Ability to work in a cold/freezer environment.
- Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing production, shipping, and operational requirements.
- Ability to remain active on the warehouse floor for extended periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, accuracy, and productivity

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
