In this full-time role, located preferably at the Oak Hammock Marsh office near Stonewall, MB, you will conduct applied research on waterfowl and lead projects aligning with DUC’s objectives.
You will manage extensive ecological data, publish research findings, and collaborate with various teams to enhance communication and outreach regarding conservation practices. Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead research involving analytical and geospatial methods
- Analyze and archive ecological data effectively
- Lead the writing and presentation of research results
- Collaborate with conservation staff and stakeholders
- Develop science outreach content to share findings
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years designing and publishing research
- M.Sc. in ecology, wildlife biology, or related field
- Expertise in waterfowl and avian ecology
- Excellent communication skills for wide-ranging audiences
- Strong skills in statistical analysis and ESRI software
