AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Welders//Spot Welders/Machine Operators for an upcoming assignment in Southern Ontario. This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

Please note this is a temporary contract position, so it may not be suitable to someone currently working full time

You will earn:

- $35 per hour before overtime
- $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
- Paid Travel (up to 4 hours when lodging required)
- Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Ability to operate machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with welding or spot welding.
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings
- Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot assigned machines
- Inspect parts to specifications




- Make adjustments or tool changes as necessary
- Housekeeping duties as required for a safe work workplace

Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Welding or Spot Welding experience
- Experience in steel or metal fabrication industry (an asset)
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)

Work schedule

- 12 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Day shift
